Pentecost University Receives the 2024 Leader in Innovative Education Award at the Africa Academia Awards in Addis Ababa
Pentecost University is the recipient of the 2024 Africa Academia Award (AAA) for “Leader in Innovative Education.” The award was given in a plush ceremony that took place in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
The AAA said that the award was in recognition of Pentecost University’s leading role in education in Africa. It cited PU’s development of innovative new programmes (market driven programmes such as the Bachelor of Laws, Doctor of Herbal Medicine, PhD Engineering, MSc Intelligent Engineering Systems, Nursing & Midwifery , Business, Theology and Pastoral Work, Industrial Software Eng, Education, Pre Engineering, and it’s associated innovative degrees and placement opportunities for students); digitization; students experiences; staff development; international recognition and partnerships; international grants and community impact .
Mr. David Guun, the Head of Corporate Affairs who received the award in Ethiopia on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua expressed gratitude to God who continually illuminates the works of the University. The VC has dedicated the award to staff, students, local and international partners and The Church of Pentecost.
The 2024 Africa Academia Award brought together 15 distinguished universities across Africa, three of which came from Ghana.
The Leader in Innovative Education in Africa is the latest continental acknowledgment of Pentecost University as an emerging and impactful University. The University is also a recipient of the prestigious Africa International Award of Merit, Top ABE Centre in Africa and more.
