Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Breast Cancer Screening On Campus
The Women’s Officer for Pentecost University College, Nana Ama Ainoo-Ansah in collaboration with the Student Representative Council (SRC) of Pentecost University College organized a breast cancer screening on campus in the month of October, which also happens to be the breast cancer awareness month.
Under the auspices of Dr. Mrs. Abigail Kyei, who is the Head of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, the event kick-started with brand awareness from members of the PUC ladies movement in their pink t-shirts and engaged students on the dangers and treatment of breast cancer.

The Women’s Officer also said the screening and awareness of breast cancer was needful, as creating awareness and early detection will save lives.
The activity was greatly successful and saw student and staff participation from the school community with 10 Doctors from Ridge Hospital examining 158 female students, 3 Male students and 12 female staffs during the day.
