PUC donates books to Methodist Girls’ SHS
Pentecost University College (PUC) has donated about 140 books to the Methodist Girls’ Senior High School in Manfe, Akuapem.
The Vice-Rector of PUC, Professor K.B. Omane-Antwi, who led the delegation from PUC to make the donation, said the donation was part of efforts to adequately resource libraries of some selected senior high schools in the country.
He charged the students to take their destinies in their own hands and work hard in order to excel in their studies and achieve great heights in life.
He said God has given the students the option of choosing life and prosperity so they should make good choices in order to attain those goals.
The Head Librarian of PUC, Mr. Michael Gyimah, presented the books to the Headmistress of the school, Madam Sylvia Isabella Laryea.
Mr. Gyimah said libraries were critical to academic and human development, and was hopeful that the books would help enrich the knowledge base of the students.
Methodist Girls’ SHS was established 35 years ago and is considered to be one of the fast-rising senior high schools in the country. The school recently won the 2019 World ROBOFEST Competition held in Michigan in the United States of America.
