Message from the Head, Department of Leadership

This Department is a new creation resulting from an attempt by the University to re-position itself to push the boundaries and embrace new opportunities. We are committed to developing and advancing leaders to impact our communities, institutions, nation and the global community.

We prepare leaders to make significant contributions toward the transformation of society and the growth of our nation and beyond.

We offer various programmes at Certification, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels including:

• Executive Leadership – Emerging, Advanced, Diploma
• Church Leadership and Administration
• Extra-Professional Leadership
• Guidance and Counselling
• Others which are upcoming

As a Department of Leadership, we recognise Max DePree’s wisdom that ‘The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.’ Society craves for leaders with integrity and the fear of God because the success of any nation, group or institution correlates perceptibly with its resourceful human capital base.

We, therefore, offer a number of short courses in leadership at our campus at Gomoa Fetteh and at Sowutuom. We also offer courses in partnership with institutions, organisations/companies that require customised courses for their employees to meet their specific needs.
