Daughters of 1st Principal of Pentecost Bible Centre visit PUC
Apostle Dr. Daniel Okyere Walker, Rector of Pentecost University, on Monday, February 10, 2020, played host to two daughters of the 1st Principal of the then Pentecost Bible Centre, Pastor David Mills, as they paid a familiarization visit to the University campus in Sowutuom as part of their visit to The Church of Pentecost Headquarters.
Erica and Ruth, accompanied by their husbands (Nicholas Lugg and Martin Goodison respectively), expressed joy about the level of progress and infrastructural development that has taken place after the pioneering role of their father after a tour of the campus and facilities of the University College.
At the PentVars Radio, they were given the opportunity to interact with the Host of the Morning Express, Maame Yaa Owusua Appiah, as they reminisced the early days of the School with a class of 5 students though they were very young then.
They used the opportunity to thank the leadership of the Church of Pentecost and Management of the University College for continuing the work of their father. “We must thank COP leadership and Management of the University College for what we are seeing today. It’s a legacy to the foundation work by our dad,” Ruth said.
Pentecost University College started as a Bible Training Centre in Kumasi to prepare new ministers for the Church of Pentecost with Pastor David Mills as the first principal. In 1984, the Centre was moved to Madina in Accra as a Bible College and later in 2003, upgraded to a University College.
