Message from the Head, Department of Mission

We are glad to welcome you to the Department of Mission in the Pentecost University College (PUC). This department is part of the School of Theology, Mission and Leadership (STML), which is committed to offering holistic theological education and training to a variety of people, including pastors, teachers, missionaries, lay leaders, faith-based organizations, bible studies teachers and those who want to further their vocation or carrier in field of theology, mission and leadership. At PUC, we believe that theological education should not be viewed only as an academic exercise but also as a spiritual discipline. As a result, we combine academic rigor with spiritual formation. Thus, whiles we approach academic competence in theological education with all seriousness, we also give practical pastoral ministry and spirituality a priority.

The mission of the Department is to develop world-class human resources with capabilities of engaging the socio-cultural, Christological, pneumatological and eschatological dimensions of missiology, from both historical and contemporary perspectives. This is done through quality teaching, learning, research and knowledge dissemination. The Department also aims at providing opportunities for students to explore mission studies from Pentecostal and Charismatic perspectives. The assists students to explore the mission praxis of the Pentecostal movement, emphasizing its global and multidimensional nature.

The Department of Mission aims at providing excellent missiological education and training to pastors, missionaries and church leaders globally by equipping our students with knowledge and skills necessary to address contemporary missiological challenges whiles embracing diverse missiological opportunities.
