PRAYERFEST 2019 LAUNCHED
The 2019 edition of the annual Prayerfest was launched today at the JM Auditorium.
The week-long spiritual programme was launched by the Rector, Aps. Dr. Daniel Walker in an atmosphere fully charged by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
The power-packed program saw the ministration of the Mass Theatre who had a sketch portraying the theme for the Prayerfest. At the end of the sketch students were to be prayerful and also be aware that ‘’prayer is the mother of encounter, and encounter the mother of transformation’’. The mass choir and other students also ministered in songs to the glory of God.
The Rector’s brief opening sermon was taken from the theme ’’Transformation through Encounter (Gen 32:28). He urged students to be in a prayer mood and wait upon the Lord in fasting if possible. He also emphasized that ‘’when you encounter God, you become a brand new person’’.
The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) presented the awards the institution won at the just ended 13th PUSAG Congress. The award was received by the Rector, accompanied by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Head Librarian, Communication Studies Faculty Members and the Chaplain. PUC was crowned the overall Best Private University in the country and also the Best Communication School.
