PUC Nursing School is ‘Best Nursing School in Ghana’
Pentecost University College Nursing School was awarded the Best Nursing School in the country at the 6th Edition of the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards held last week.
Pentecost University College beat other nursing schools in both private and public universities including the University of Ghana and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to emerge victorious in the category.
The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards is an annual tertiary awards scheme, which seeks to honour students and universities who are changing the society and also serves as a platform to honour some outstanding people who have played key roles in all tertiary institutions.
This year’s edition was held at the Pentecost University College on Friday, 29th November 2019 under the theme, “Awarding students whose lives are changing the society”.
The Nursing and Midwifery Department of PUC has over the years established itself as a Centre of Excellence for the training of Nurses.
The practical based approach to training has resulted in the production of nurses who are making a remarkable impact across the country.
The Head of Department of the School is Dr Abigail Kyei, who is also the President of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.
