PUC Welcomes First-Year Students into the 2019/2020 Academic Year
PUC has welcomed Freshmen/women into the 2019/2020 Academic year with a week-long orientation programme to usher them into a new phase of their academic life. The one-week orientation was packed-up with different exciting sessions.
The Freshers took part in information sessions and workshops designed to connect them to the PUC campus community and put them on track towards a successful journey through college. The orientation included sessions on academic expectations, extracurricular activities on campus, student organization clubs and associations.
In this light, some staff and continuing students volunteered to join in the activity of assisting freshers in diverse ways, such as adjusting to campus life, Academic regulations, finance and security, library services and networking.
As one of the leading Christian universities in Ghana, PUC aims to train the totality of the individual – Body, Soul and Spirit – through the provision of value-based education. Consequently, the University College actively works to grow and maintain a national and international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
In his opening remarks, Aps. Dr Daniel Walker, Rector of PUC, said, “we could not be more excited to welcome our 2019/2020 freshmen, introducing them to the incredible resources and outstanding opportunities our campus stands to offer them”. “We promise you a non-forgettable experience from Day I till Finish”, he added.
