COPCEF is a Game Changer – VC to Pentecost Ministers and Wives
The Vice-Chancellor(VC) of Pentecost University, Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua has encouraged ministers of The Church of Pentecost to support The Church of Pentecost Chairman Education Foundation (COPCEF). Prof. Agyapong-Kodua made the call when he spoke at the Greater Accra chapter of the 2021 Ministers and Wives Conference of the church, at Pentecost Convention Center in Gomoa Fetteh on Thursday 28th January 2021.
According to the VC, the increased enrolment at Pentecost University this year is attributable to the internal recruitment strategies employed by the university, and the scholarships and support schemes at the church’s area and district levels. He however questioned the sustainability of these schemes.
“Dear ministers and wives, I must say with gratitude that the various schemes at the area and district levels have contributed immensely to the increased enrolment at Pentvars this year”. Prof. Agyapong-Kodua said. “But let me say with humility that COPCEF promises higher prospects in a more sustainable manner.
Explaining further, Prof. Agyapong-Kodua presented data that showed the viability of COPCEF. According to the data, a maximum contribution of 1200 cedis per year by 5000 members, and a minimum of 12 cedis per year by 1.5m members of the church will generate about 59.4m Ghana cedis for the foundation. He, therefore, added that “with this data, you can see clearly that COPCEF is a game-changer when we support the wisdom of our fathers who established it.”
The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, took the pastors through the shortcode that is used for the donation, which is *234#.
The Church of Pentecost Chairman Education Foundation was established in the year 2019. The objective is to support deprived students get tertiary education at Pentecost University.
