COP Deaconess Donates Two Parcels of Land to Pentecost University
Mrs. Comfort Andoh Enyinful, a deaconess (Dcns) of The Church of Pentecost in the Takoradi Area, has donated two parcels of land to Pentecost University. The two parcels (one with building structures on it) situated in separate locations in Apam in the Central Region, together, measure approximately 9 acres.
At a brief signing of Deed of Gift ceremony, Dns. Enyinful said her gesture was to honor a pledge she had made to God. According to her, she and her husband faced financial challenges in their youthful years along which she prayed for a breakthrough and pledged to donate bountifully when blessed by God. It is in the light of this that she has decided to donate her land to Pentecost University to advance education and the spread of the Gospel. She had intended to use the land for a Nursing College but believes that Pentecost University can even do more with the land.
In a remark, the Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University, Aps. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua likened the gift to the alabaster box in the Bible, and described it as expensive. Prof. Agyapong-Kodua added that Dcns Enyinful will be remembered in the history of the University.
As a token for accepting the gift, the University represented by the Registrar, Mr. Foster Kobina Amoani offered an undisclosed amount to Dcns. Enyinful. In a surprising turn, she returned the token to the University calling it “my widow’s mite to support any project that the University may want to start on the land.”
Speaking on behalf of the University, the Chief Information Officer, Mr. Michael W.K. Gyimah thanked Dcns Enyinful and her family for the gesture.
The signing of Deed of Gift took place on the University’s campus on Thursday 10th March 2022. The University was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Key Officers and some staff. On the other hand, Dcns Enyinful was accompanied by a retired minster of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle George Kofi Narh (spiritual father of Dcns. Enyinful), Pastor Emmanuel Opoku Mensah, (Travelling Secretary of the The Church of Pentecost, Takoradi Sector and District Pastor of Dcns Enyinful), Elder Emmanuel Osei, Mr. Samuel Peprah (son of Dcns Enyinful) and Mr. Joseph Edward Forson (a brother of Dncs Mrs. Enyinfu).
Prophet Fred Antwi who was present at the ceremony, prayed to ask of God’s blessings for Dcns Mrs Enyinful and her family and also to commit the University into the hands of God.
