Universities should Train Moral Revolutionaries – Academic
An academic, moral advocate and clergyman Aps. Dr. Dela Quampah has asked academic institutions to be intentional about training moral revolutionaries.
Dr. Quampah said “professionals who are moral are a great asset for nation-building.” He added that Ghana needs moral revolutionaries and universities have unique opportunities to contribute to this. He, therefore, recommended that hard skills that will lead to many scientific discoveries, and business innovations among others should not be the only expected outcome of quality education, instead, moral development should equally be prioritized.
The clergyman made these calls at the 2022 Management Conference of Pentecost University on the main campus in Sowutuom, Accra.
Speaking further, Aps. Quampah charged universities to be constructive. He encouraged Management members of Pentecost University to critique their internal issues for the growth of the university. He also urged them to pursue integrity, integration and convergence in all their individual and unit-level activities for the benefit of the University and the community.
At the conference, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua reinforced sharpness of skills and integrity of all professionals are at the heart of the Pentecost University’s A+ agenda.
