Full-Time Ministry: An Honourable Calling with Great Sacrifice, VC Charges

These remarks were made by the VC during his keynote address at the 2023 graduation and matriculation ceremonies of the One Way Africa Livingstone Schools of Mission and Leadership, held on Saturday, 3rd June 2023, in Adenta, Accra.

Addressing the young ministers, he urged them to follow in the footsteps of Christ as they embark on their respective missions. He highlighted that regardless of the cultural or geographical context they find themselves in, Jesus has already been present, and their role is simply to emulate His actions among the people.

The VC emphasized that the “command to go” (Matt 28:19) should always be accompanied by the “invitation to come” (Acts 16:9), referring to this as the ‘double movement’ inherent in true Christian mission. He stressed the importance of going where God invites them (Acts 16:6-7).

In addition to congratulating the newly trained missionaries and Christian leaders on their graduation, the Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University led a prayer session for both the graduating and matriculating students.
