Pentecost University has achieved a remarkable feat at the Ghana Industries and Manufacturing Awards held on Friday, 19th September 2025, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra. The University was adjudged the Best Tertiary Institution in the Development of Ethical and Morally Upright Professionals, while its Vice-Chancellor, Apostle Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, received the honour of Most Outstanding Personality in Private Tertiary Education.

The award to Pentecost University highlights its distinctive commitment to shaping graduates who combine academic excellence with strong moral and ethical grounding. For years, the University has prioritised the training of students who not only excel in their fields but also embody integrity, responsibility, and leadership rooted in values. This recognition affirms the University’s mission to transform society through ethical and upright professionals.

Apostle Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua’s recognition as the Most Outstanding Personality in Private Tertiary Education reflects his transformational leadership. Since assuming office, he has introduced strategic reforms aimed at enhancing academic quality, expanding research, strengthening industry linkages, and promoting innovation across all faculties. His vision has positioned Pentecost University as a forward-looking institution dedicated to national development and global relevance.

In his remarks after the ceremony, Apostle Prof. Agyapong-Kodua expressed gratitude for the honour and dedicated the award to the entire Pentecost University community. He emphasised that the recognition is a result of collective effort by faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners who share in the University’s vision. He further stressed that these honours are not about one person or institution alone but about the shared mission of raising leaders who combine competence with character.

The Ghana Industries and Manufacturing Awards annually celebrate institutions and individuals contributing to Ghana’s socio-economic progress. Pentecost University’s recognition signals the growing importance of higher education in producing ethical leaders who can influence industries, governance, and communities positively. At a time when values-driven leadership is most needed, this honour underscores the University’s national impact and the global relevance of its approach to higher education.

The dual recognition of both the University and its Vice-Chancellor marks a historic milestone. It not only affirms the University’s progress but also inspires its future direction, expanding its mission of excellence, ethics, and societal transformation. With a strong foundation and visionary leadership, Pentecost University is poised to continue shaping a generation of leaders who will serve as catalysts for positive change in Ghana and beyond.
