About the Centre

Centre Coordinator
Introduction
PCUPGs, Africa is a visionary initiative by Pentecost University and The Church of Pentecost through its Home and Urban Missions (HUM). The Centre addresses the spiritual and social needs of Africa’s Unreached People Groups (UPGs), equipping the Church with tools, research, and training to engage them meaningfully.
Vision
To be a Christ-centred academic and missional hub dedicated to the research, training, equipping, and mobilisation of the Church in reaching UPGs across Africa.
Mission
To become a regional research and training centre of excellence that develops and disseminates knowledge, raising leaders, missionaries, and researchers for the evangelisation and holistic development of UPGs.
Core Objectives
- Ensure effective governance, operational plans, staffing, and infrastructure to maintain the Centre’s sustainability and focus.
- Conduct context-specific research and establish a journal to promote African-led scholarship on UPGs missions.
- Develop programmes to train leaders and missionaries with theological knowledge and practical skills for UPGs.
- Raise awareness, correct misconceptions, and engage in community development initiatives to support UPGs outreach.
- Forge partnerships, secure funding, and mobilise resources to support research, training, and mission initiatives.
