The Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) – Ghana is the body for professional bankers in Ghana. CIB Ghana aims to provide the stimulus for the development of competent and more qualified human resources that will enable the banks to offer efficient and competitive services to meet modern-day sophisticated demands and satisfaction. Its course content and structure are streamlined along with the requirements of the Alliance of African Institutes of Bankers (AAIOB) for global recognition. CIB (Gh) is also a member of the World Conference of Banking Institutes(WCBI). Examinations are held twice in a year, April and October.
There is no order for selection of courses for examination registration; however, candidates are expected to complete one level before proceeding to the next level. Pentecost University College (PUC) is an accredited Tuition centre of Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana courses for regular and weekend school.

EXAMINATION SCHEME
The examination is in four (4) levels. Level 1 must be completed before moving on to Levels 2 and 3 in that order.
Students are required to write a minimum of two (2) paper in any order in Levels 1 and 2. At Level 3, students are
required to write all compulsory papers at level 4 by opting for one out of five (5) options. There are two examination
sittings in a year in April and August.
Entry Requirement
Holders of any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply.
- Six (6) Credits in GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics or Accounting. Plus ‘A’ Levels with
Passes in three (3) subjects, two (2) of which should not be below grade ‘D’.
- SHSCE: Credits in three (3) core subjects, including Core Mathematics and Core English, plus three (3) Passes in the
Electives (with an aggregate of not more than 24), OR three (3) passes in RSA (Stage 3).
- Recognized Degrees, HND, Diplomas, DBS, ICA (GH), ACCA and other professional Qualifications.
- PASS MARK OF 50% in Matured Student Route-In-Course (MRIC) organized by CIB (Gh).
