Message from the Dean of Students

On behalf of Management, I warmly welcome you all to Pentecost University (PU). PU is a Christian University with a vision to be a distinguished Christian University known for excellence in teaching, research and community impact and its mission is to develop resourceful and value-driven graduates, whilst generating and disseminating knowledge through research and innovation in partnership with industry, commerce and the public sector.. This means that PU upholds Christian principles and virtues which seeks among other things to provide holistic education to produce scholars who are fully prepared to serve their generation and help change society for the better.
As a Christian University, the kind of education it gives to students aims at training the Head, Heart and Hand; in other words, the type of education which equips students with academic knowledge, trains them to become morally sound and helps them to obtain the needed skills for the job market. PU has seasoned and God-fearing lecturers and staff and it is a place of excellence which empowers students to serve.
The Dean of Students in collaboration with the Student Support Unit seeks for attachment placement for our students to enrich their knowledge in the industry to make them very marketable at the end of their study at PU. The office provides guidance to parents whose mission and purpose are toward the welfare of their wards/children, one-to-one Counselling services to students and settling disputes among students.
In addition to making students stay on campus very satisfying, the Dean of Students collaborates with both the SRC and the Hall Representative to bring on board educational programmes from renowned resource persons in equipping them for work after school. Other fun programmes such as Sports and Entertainment are organised for students to make the environment so pleasant to stay. The office serves as a mediator between management and the entire student body.
Finally, I wish to take this opportunity to recommend PU to all those who wish to embark on tertiary education to consider Pentvars as the number one choice and he/she would not regret he/she did.
