Ministry of Education Commends Pentecost University
The Ministry of Education has commended Pentecost University for their commitment to training problem solving graduates.
The commendation was made by the Director of Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Eric Nkansah, on behalf of the Hon. Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum. This came at the University’s second batch of 13th Congregation on the main campus at Sowutuom on Saturday 9th April, 2022.
In the address, Dr Nkansah said “when I entered the University, though it’s my first time, I observed your magnificent infrastructure and the serenity of your campus and instantly felt high quality operations that are leading to quality teaching and learning within the Pentecost University.”
Touching on collaboration between the University and the government, Dr Eric Nkansah said the Ministry is striving to achieve 60% tertiary education enrolment in the medium term. He added that 60% of this is expected to enroll in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields.He therefore congratulated Pentecost University on on being one of the two universities selected to pilot the Pre-Engineering programme. He reiterated that the Pre- Engineering is a crunch course that will adequately prepare non-science students to study mainstream engineering.
He further pledged the resolve of the ministry and the Hon. Minister to partner and support Pentecost University and other private universities to expand opportunities for quality education.
