The Public Relations Unit headed by the Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing both the internal and external communication of the university.
Over the years we have fostered a system of transparent two-way communication with both internal and external publics including the Church of Pentecost, lecturers, administrative staff and students. We are very mindful of the ethical obligations of our operations and therefore work with high ethical standards placing emphasis on core Christian values and principles.
The PR Unit is also primarily responsible for student enrolment drive and actively works with other units such as the Admissions, Advancement and the International Relations Offices in this regard.
One of the key pillars of our PR activities is in the area of Corporate Philanthropy;
We continue to support needy but brilliant students through our scholarship schemes and this package can be accessed by eligible students.
The university with support from the Nursing Department and the University’s clinic has also instituted health screening exercises for residents of Sowutuom and surrounding communities
Additionally, the Graduate School has been involved in debates on important policy issues, stimulating discussions on national economic and business issues through workshops and seminars that have attracted top government officials.
The PR Unit also continues to engage the media as we recognize the media as important partners for our growth and development. Our doors are opened to media houses or professionals seeking information on the university. At PUC we also encourage our experts to contribute to national issues hence media organizations seeking expert opinion on important national issues continue to depend on some of our faculty members. We consider this as a critical public affairs duty as it opens up the university to the general public positioning it as an important player in the national discourse.
Our future plans include upgrading the university’s clinic and making it accessible to residents of surrounding communities as we work towards deepening our imprints in our community in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. In this regard, we welcome interested partners and donors to come on board.
