Put Past Achievements Behind and Aim Higher – Dr. Ofori to Pentecost University
The Director of Ministerial Formation at Pentecost University, Aps. Dr. Samuel Ofori has urged the University to put aside its past achievements and aim higher. Dr. Ofori made the call when he addressed Management and Staff the University in its 2020 retreat.
He spoke on the theme “Attitudinal Change for Institutional Advancement”, and referenced Corinthians II 9:10.
Dr. Ofori enumerated many awards the university and individual staff members achieved over the years, including the best private university in Ghana and others by management and individual staff members both locally and abroad.
“Brothers and sisters, it is nostalgic to boast of the numerous awards we won including the overall best private university in Ghana but we need to put that behind us and aim higher”.
He added that the “fact that the University got a Presidential Charter is evidence of the level of professionalism and worthy of celebration but we have work harder”.
Aps. Dr. Ofori went ahead to admonish staff to imbibe hard work, integrity and diligence in their service to the university. ‘Colleagues, our dream to make Pentecost University a world-class institution is gradual and progressive but if we work harder with integrity and diligence in the new phase, the dream will come sooner than expected”.
