The Church of Pentecost Sponsors 392 students at Pentecost University – Apostle Nyamekye
The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has stated that the church offered 392 scholarships to students to study at Pentecost University in 2019. He made the revelation in an interview with Citi TV’s Point of View programme on Monday, 4th May, 2020.
He said this when the host, Mr. Bernard Avle, asked if the church supports the society as the early missionaries did.
Apostle Nyamekye who is also the Chancellor of the University College said the church offers support to society in diverse ways. ‘Last year alone, our church offered full scholarships to 392 members to study various programs at the Pentecost University College. We also spent GHC 2.7m on students in other tertiary institutions’.
He stated that the church will continue to offer these and many other support to the needy within and outside the church.
In the interview which touched on a number of issues including COVID -19, Apostle Nyamekye said the wisdom and knowledge of God surpass that of mankind. He, therefore, admonished all to direct attention to God at all times.
