Pentecost University Professor named Peace Ambassador

Rev. Prof. Ivy Drafor-Amenyah of Pentecost University has been nominated as a Peace Ambassador by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. She was nominated along 9 other eminent persons under the ‘Presbyterian Peace Campaign Project’

They were commissioned at the Ebenezer Congregation of the Church at Osu in Accra.

At the commissioning service, the Moderator of the Church Rt. Rev. Prof. J.O.Y. Mante said the Peace Ambassadors are “permitted to use the Church’s name, goodwill among others to call for violent- free elections before, during and after the 2020 General Elections in Ghana”. The 10 eminent persons were also charged to use their influence and reputation to sensitize the public on peace.

Commenting on the nomination, the Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University Aps. Dr. Daniel Walker congratulated Prof. Drafor-Amenyah on her appointment. He said “‘Prof. Drafor-Amenyah has the right temperament, calmness and competence to rally people for peace”. He added that “we wish her well in this call to serve the Church and Ghana”

Rev. Prof. Ivy Drafor-Amenyah is the Director of Research, Innovation and Consultancy Center at Pentecost University. She holds BSc. and MSc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph, Ontario Canada and PhD from the University of Ghana.

She is an MBTI Certified Leadership Training Consultant and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
