Rev. M.K. Yeboah Memorial Trust Visits Pentecost University
A four-member delegation from the Rev. MK Yeboah Memorial Trust on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, paid a working visit to Pentecost University.
The visit was to evaluate the partnership impact of the Trust and also deepen her relationship with the University Community.
Secretary to the Trust, Elder Lawyer Bernard Bosompra said: “we came to assess the relationship that we established with Pentecost University in line with the objectives of the Trust”.
In 2019, the Trust donated two hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 200,000.00) to Pentecost University to resource the university’s library.
This, according to Elder Lawyer Bosompra was to fulfil the vision of the Late Prophet M.K Yeboah (former Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, 1988- 1998) in establishing well-resourced libraries for people in search of knowledge.
‘The late Chairman gave me the privilege to write his Will in which he stressed the setting up of a library for pastors and anyone who needs library services’, Lawyer Bossompra added.
In line with the objective of the Trust, the funds was used to resource the University’s library to an ultra-modern status.
Chief Information Officer of the University, Mr Michael K. Gyimah said the partnership with the Rev. M K. Yeboah Memorial Trust has been beneficial to the University. ‘I must say the partnership with Rev. MK Yeboah Memorial Trust has been a blessing to our University’, he stated. ‘Last year, we received financial support which we used to expand the library infrastructure and stocked it with more books and computers. We also used the fund to expand an e-library project we call the Pocket Size Library Project, which aims at putting all our books online and making it convenient for mobile devices’, Mr Gyimah added.
The Rev. M.K.Yeboah Memorial Trust was established in honour of Prophet Martinson Kwadwo Yeboah, a former Chairman of The Church of Pentecost.
According to Lawyer Bossompra, Prophet Yeboah made provision in his Will for the establishment of a Trust to support children named after him at the time. The Trust also aims at making library resources available to as many people as possible.
The delegation consisted of Aps. Patrick Aseyoro (Chairman of the Trust) Ps. Dr. Nicholas Darko, Eld. Lawyer Bossompra and Apostle Ackah- Baidoo (Rtd).
