PENTECOST UNIVERSITY INAUGURATES RECONSTITUTED CHAPLAINCY BOARD
Pentecost University has inaugurated a reconstituted Board to direct the activities of the University’s Chaplaincy. The Board, with Acting Pro VC, Aps. Dr. Emmanuel Anim as Chairman was inaugurated at the August Staff Devotion and Breakfast meeting on campus on Friday 30th August, 2024. It is constituted by some heads of faculties and units, in accordance with the University’s statutes.
Swearing in the new board, the Acting Registrar, Mr. Michael WK. Gyimah on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, expressed confidence in the members. He described the Chaplaincy as pivotal in the University and asked the Board to provide strategic guidance that shapes the value system of the Pentecost University Community. Mr. Gyimah further ledged the support of the Management and the entire University and to the Board to carry out its mandate. He said “you have the full support of the university in carrying out this sacred mission.”
The Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Adonoo used the opportunity to outline the vision of the Chaplaincy. He called for oneness of mind and unity of purpose among staff members. He further challenged them to speak “one language- the language of excellence about Pentecost.” He said “with one mind and one voice, let us declare and proclaim PU as the best University in the world and it shall so be established.” He pledged the commitment of the Chaplain to the overall success of the University A+ agenda.
The reconstitution and inauguration of the Chaplaincy Board is the second major second major shake-up in the University’s Chaplaincy this year, aside the passing on of the button by Rev Nelson Adu to Rev. Dr. Patrick Adonoo.
